Hi Friends! Let’s jump in muddy puddles! It’s a Peppa Pig party! I’m so excited to share a recent party project that I created in partnership with Peppa Pig. My boys were SO thrilled about this party. Peppa Pig has been a favorite in our house for quite a while. Easton, my little three-year-old, was about to burst from excitement! It was so nice to take a little break from all the holiday hustle bustle of this season and spend a fun afternoon with my favorite guys. Of course, any party is better with cake…and now through December 31, 2018 Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is making Peppa Pig fro-yo cakes for birthdays, special occasions, or to make any day more “oinktastic” and fun! Any day is a party with these delicious cakes!
If you have a little one in your life that loves Peppa Pig this is the party for you. In this post I’ll be sharing a bunch of fun, simple Peppa Pig party ideas and inspiration—foods, easy decor DIYs, and free printables—so you can re-create this celebration at home.
Peppa Pig Party: The Cake
As I mentioned above, from now until December 31, 2018 Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is making Peppa Pig fro-yo cakes. These cakes are so good! I must admit, I was unfamiliar with Menchie’s cakes until I started working on this project and WOW was I impressed. My boys and I were blown away with how delicious it is! The cakes are made with a variety of flavors of fro-yo and different fillings. You can customize exactly what you’d like and even add a photo in the design! Our cake was Country Vanilla and Chocolate fro-yo with a layer of crushed Oreos and a layer of chocolate cake…SO yummy! You can order the cakes online or in-store and…let me tell you…my oldest son has already requested one for our next party!
Peppa Pig Party: The Theme
When I was first envisioning this party I knew I wanted it to be bright and sunny and full of fun, little whimsical details from the show. I knew I wanted to incorporate a few quick DIYs but I wanted to keep them simple and do-able. I started by designing the backdrop poster printable, and then got to work on all of the other party specifics. You can download a printable of this backdrop by entering your name and email in the form at the bottom of this post!
This Peppa Pig Air Walker Balloon is awesome. It’s huge, standing 48 inches tall. The quality is wonderful! I highly recommend it. I also thought the sun balloon worked so well with the rainbow balloon garland. It was a great addition too. For the rainbow balloon garland itself, I just blew up a bunch of balloons and tied them all together using a thin string.
Peppa Pig Party: The Food
Along with our Peppa Pig fro-yo cake from Menchie’s, the other foods at the party were an assortment of veggies from Grandpa Pig’s Vegetable Garden, Muddy Puddle Chocolate Milk, Rainbow and Cloud Cupcakes, Green Hill Rice Krispies Treats, Muddy Pudding Puddles, and Fruit Flowers.
Since Peppa and her family live in a little yellow house on the top of a green hill, I thought it would be fun to create a food that represented this. To make the Green Hill Rice Krispies Treats simply make Rice Krispies treats as you normally would by combining melted marshmallows and Rice Krispies. Then, mound the treats into small hills. If they are sticky enough, you can roll them directly in green sprinkles. If not, cover them with a very thin layer of white chocolate and then roll them in the green sprinkles. Attach the little yellow house free printable to a toothpick and push it in the top of each hill…that’s it! I love how the green sprinkles look like grass. How fun!
Two big thumbs up for the Menchie’s fro-yo cake!
Everyone knows that Peppa’s favorite thing to do is jump in muddy puddles. I knew I wanted to incorporate her favorite pastime into one of the foods at the party. These Muddy Pudding Puddles were a definite highlight! I made the splashing puddle “bowl” portion out of chocolate melts. You can find the full step-by-step instructions below.
To create the splashing muddy puddle “bowls” for our Muddy Pudding Puddles follow these 6 steps.
Step 1: You will need small balloons, non-stick cooking spray, chocolate melts, and parchment paper. I found it was easy to line a cookie sheet with the parchment so I could move the puddles around if needed.
Step 2: Start by blowing a small amount of air into each balloon. They do not need to be very big to create a nice sized “bowl.” Then, wash each balloon with soap and water and dry fully.
Step 3: Next, melt the chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Spoon a small amount of melted chocolate onto the parchment paper. This will be the “base” where you will place the dipped balloon.
Step 4: Then, spray each balloon with a small amount of non-stick cooking spray.
Step 5: Now it’s time to dip each balloon in the melted chocolate. Since I was not trying to make perfectly uniform bowls, but instead give the effect of splashing muddy puddles, I tried to make each one look a little different…a bit lop-sided, higher and lower in different areas. I repeated this step and dipped each balloon twice. This made each bowl much more durable.
Step 6: Once the chocolate has dried and fully hardened, you can pop and remove the balloons. Start by making a very tiny hole in the top of the balloon and allow only a small amount of air to be released. Then a bit more, etc. This will help keep them from cracking. Then just add pudding to each “bowl” right before you are ready to serve them. These were a big hit! Such a treat—my kids loved them!
Peppa Pig Party: Quick and Easy Decor Ideas
Party decor doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive to make a big impact and really enhance your party theme. In this section, I’m sharing a few quick and simple ideas. First, to transform a plain red paper plate into a “Peppa Plate” just tape or glue her face, arms, legs, and tail onto the plate. Then, arrange your cutlery to be over her hands to give the allusion that she is holding it. So easy and really fun!
Here is another easy one…just tape or glue the snout printable (form located at the bottom of this post) to the bottom of a pink paper cup to create a DIY pig nose cup in minutes!
To create the white picket fence for the table, I just cut rectangles out of 4 pieces of white foam board. Then, I taped each of the 4 boards together. I got the foam board from the dollar store. So the whole fence only cost $4! Then I just added the flower graphics to break up some of the space (form for printables located at bottom of this post).
Peppa Pig Party: The Favors
Send all your little party guests home with a cute Peppa Pig house favor box. These little houses are so much fun! Again, the free printable is available through the form at the bottom of this post. I’m including assembly instructions too. Tip: To make the favor box a bit more durable, and to be able to hold more treats, print on a thicker cardstock paper!
I hope you enjoyed our Peppa Pig party! Thanks for jumping in muddy puddles with us! Be sure to check out the delicious fro-yo Peppa Pig cakes at Menchie’s. They can make any day a celebration! There are also a bunch of other great resources on the grown-ups section of the Peppa Pig site. You can find fun apps, news about upcoming events, books, toys and more. Check it out!
Peppa Pig Party: Free Printables
I created all of the party printables from approved graphics that were provided to me. If you would like to re-create this celebration for the Peppa fans in your life, you can download the free printables by entering your name and email in the form below. What size table did you use?
Alison says
Hi Lori,
Thanks so much for your message! The food table was 5 feet long. If your table is longer, you could just add an additional piece of white foam board for your picket fence.
Thanks again! Have a great day!

Hi Alison! Did you use ceramic pots or plastic pots for the fruit flowers? Thanks!
Alison says
Hi Kari,
Thanks so much for your message. I used ceramic pots for the fruit flowers. Depending on how high you make them, you might need to weight the bottom so they aren’t too top heavy.
Thanks again! Have a great day!

Hi Alison! Me again 🙂
How big were the foam boards?
Thank You 😍💖💖
Alison says
Hi Mariana,
Thanks for your message! Sure — I’m happy to help! 🙂
The foam boards were 20×30 inches and I bought them at Dollar Tree. I used 3 of them side-by-side vertically in front of the table. After I cut them I just flipped them over and taped the backs together. I hope this helps!
Have a great evening,
Alison
Alma says
Hi, beautiful party! How did you get the fence to stay on the table?
Alison says
Hi Alma,
Thanks so much for your message and kind words! The fence was made out of white foam board so it was really light. I just propped it up against the table and used double sided tape to secure it to the tablecloth. I hope this helps!
Thanks again!

Hi Alison,
Thank you very much for sharing all of your party ideas and free printables? How did you make the fruit flowers? Did you use a skewer to put the grapes and pineapple on and how did you attach the cantaloupe flower center? What did you use for the grass and is it covering one of those floral foam blocks?
Alison says
Hi Shawnya,
Thanks so much for your message and kind words! I really appreciate it! Yes, I did use a skewer to hold the grapes and pineapple in place. I also used a toothpick to hold the cantaloupe center in place. For the grass, I just used green sprinkles. And yes, you are correct, I used foam to hold the skewer in place in the mini terra cotta pot. I used a flower shaped cookie cutter to make the shape out of the pineapple. I hope this helps!
Thanks again for your message!

Thank you for your help and quick response!! Again, I just love all of your ideas-they are so unique. I have used so many of them-here are just a few -including the volcano lava bubbles as Valentine’s gifts for my youngest sons class, taco pen pals for my oldest son who shares a love of tacos with his teacher and this was perfect during this time of quarantine and schools being closed and now peppa pig for my daughters 3rd birthday in a few weeks.
Alison says
Thank you so much Shawnya!

Genelle says
Hey, how did you do the fruit flowers? Like what’s in the bottom of the pot?
Alison says
Hi Genelle,
Thanks so much for your message! When I made the fruit flowers I put a small weight and styrofoam in the pot. Then I covered the top with green sprinkles to look like grass. After I added the fruit to the skewer, I just stuck it directly into the styrofoam. I hope this helps!
Thanks again,
Alison

Thank you so much for your quick response. I’m doing this this weekend for my daughter who turned three today and we are stationed in Japan so I’ve been searching hard for everything. One more question, I’ve been having sort of an issue finding the pro tables in the library. Is there something I need to specifically type in the search?
Erin says
Neat party and so many great ideas! Any tips on the balloon garland? I never made one before. Are the balloons all the same size? How many did you use? I love the colors! Did you buy the colors individually? Sorry for all the questions but the garland really is lovely. Thanks!
Alison says
Hi Erin,
Thank you so much for your message about my Peppa Pig party balloon garland. It really helps to use a balloon garland strip. It’s a clear plastic strip with holes so you can just poke the knotted portion of the balloon through the hole. It makes it very easy! I think I probably used about 40 balloons in the garland. They were all about the same size. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’m happy to help!
Have a great day!

Hi Alison,
I absolutely love all of your ideas.
I’m planning a Peppa Pig birthday party and I’m so excited to get started.
Would you mind letting me know where did you purchase the felt mud puddles? I’ve been looking everywhere and no luck.
Thank you,
Maria
Alison says
Hi Maria,
Thank you so much for your message! I just cut the shape of the muddy puddles from pieces of brown felt that I bought at the craft store. You can cut them as big or as small as you need. Then with the extra scraps I cut little splash drops and placed them around on the table. I hope this helps!
Thanks again!
