Hi Friends! I have a fun DIY craft to share with you all today. To celebrate everyone doing an awesome job and competing in the Reindeer Games at our Pancakes, Pajamas and Plaid Christmas Party, each little party goer earned an “official” Reindeer Games 2017 trophy as a sign of their great achievement.
A huge thank you to Oriental Trading Company for sponsoring this post. Although I was given the trophies to create this DIY party craft, all of my opinions and feelings about (how fun and creative) their products are 100% my own. For more information, see my disclosures, here.
Today, I wanted to share a quick, step-by-step tutorial of how to create these cute, little DIY Reindeer Trophies.
DIY Reindeer Trophy
To make this DIY Reindeer Trophy, follow these 4 steps:
- First, spray paint the trophies and let them dry fully. These trophies from Oriental Trading worked perfectly. I thought they were the perfect size and I loved how the handles resembled reindeer ears. I used Krylon Color Master spray paint to make the trophies brown and it worked really well.
- Next, wrap the base of the trophy with decorative ribbon or tape. I used a buffalo plaid ribbon that I found at a local craft store.
- Then, apply the googly eyes and reindeer nose to the center of the trophy. I used self adhesive googly eyes and a small red pom pom for the nose (that I applied with a small amount of hot glue).
- Lastly, cut a black pipe cleaner into thirds. Take one of the pieces and twist it around one of the handles on the trophy to make an antler. Repeat on the other side. Done! Such a cute, festive little award!
