Hi Friends! I have a fun DIY Easter Egg Topiary Craft to share with you all today. I’ve seen egg topiary trees as a part of the spring decor sections in many stores these days and I love them! So when I was first envisioning our Whimsical Bunny Bonanza Easter Party I knew I wanted to incorporate an egg topiary tree (or two!) into the tablescape. I couldn’t find one that really matched the colors I was planning, so I decided to make it myself. I’m so happy I did because they are very easy to assemble and much less expensive than buying one pre-made. Below are the step-by-step instructions.

First, you will need a 9 inch styrofoam cone, Spanish moss, craft eggs, a hot glue gun and sticks and a base of your choice. I got the craft eggs and Spanish moss at Dollar Tree and the base and styrofoam cone from Hobby Lobby. You will need about 30 total eggs for each topiary. My total cost for each topiary was $12. Not bad at all when the similar egg topiaries that I’ve been seeing in stores range from around $30-$35.

Now onto the steps…

Step 1: Start by applying a small amount of hot glue around the base of the cone and attach a ring of Spanish moss at the bottom. This will help ensure you don’t see any styrofoam peeking out when the topiary is in (or sitting on top of) it’s base.

Step 2: Next, start individually gluing eggs at the bottom of the cone.

Step 3: Continue adding eggs. Try to nestle them as close together as possible.

Step 4: Once you reach the top of the cone, glue one final egg at the tip (it is flat—not a point—so attaching it is not a problem).

Step 5: Lastly, with a small amount of hot glue, fill all of the spaces between the eggs with Spanish moss. I found that it was helpful to use a pencil to help push the moss into place so I didn’t burn my fingertips on the hot glue. Then, once completed, display on a base of your choice! So pretty for Easter and spring!
