This Easter, since Sawyer is still a little young to really get into truly dying Easter eggs, I have been on the lookout for some alternative ways to decorate our eggs. I decided to design these sweet bunny Easter eggs and then I created some stickers to dress up the bunnies and give them a bit more personality. Sawyer loved decorating the eggs with me this afternoon. Below are the free printables if you would like to make these little egg cuties with your little ones. Also, here are the step-by-step instructions in photos.
First, download both printables (links at bottom of post). Print the PDF with the bunny heads and paw bases on a thicker cardstock. Print the other PDF, with the clothing and accessories, on sticker/label paper. I used 8.5×11 full sheet label paper from Office Depot.
Next, cut out all of the pieces…bunny heads, paws, clothes, bows, ties, etc. This is the most time consuming part of this entire project. I worked on trimming all of the pieces while Sawyer was napping so that everything would be ready when we wanted to decorate our eggs.
Next, assemble the base so that your egg can sit upright. Just insert the tab into the slot. Easy! You can add a dab of glue too, if you want.
Then I used double-sided tape to add the bunny head. Next, Sawyer and I added all of the stickers that we wanted to dress up our bunnies.
And there you have it! How cute are they?! These are the three bunnies that I created. (I won’t show you how Sawyer’s turned out…haha!) But we both had a fun time decorating our bunny eggs!
You can download the bunny heads and paw bases here. And you can download the clothes and accessories here.
Happy crafting!
