Aloha! The first full week of May was Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week…and it was sun-sational! I love being a part of the Hospitality Committee for the PTA at my boys’ school. I really do consider it an honor to be able to celebrate all of the teachers and staff. Our school is such a special place and I am so incredibly grateful for our energetic, patient, hardworking, and overall amazing teachers and staff. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate them all week and to show them all the love and appreciation they so greatly deserve!
OUR BEACH THEME TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Over the years, we have done a lot of different Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week themes. You may remember our Carnival Circus from last year, or our Taco Fiesta Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, or our Diner Themed Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. Well this year, we did a Tropical Hawaiian Beach theme Teacher Appreciation Week. We had so much fun thanking all of our teachers and staff for keeping us afloat! We all know we’d be coconuts without them! I also made a video capturing fun moments from the week that you can see HERE.
We planned something fun for each day of our Beach Theme Teacher Appreciation Week. On Monday, we said aloha to the week with a tropical themed breakfast for all teachers and staff.
Then on Tuesday, we stocked our tiki carts and pushed them throughout the building so all teachers and staff could pick out their favorite snacks and drinks.
Next, on Wednesday, all teachers and staff were invited to “shop” in the faculty lounge for supplies to restock their classrooms.
On Thursday, all teachers and staff were invited to hula over to our luau luncheon! We also raffled off all of the prize baskets during the luncheon. And lastly, on Friday, we provided all of the teachers and staff with a true treasure—the gift of time! We watched all of the students for an extra 30 minutes of recess time for every class so that all of the teachers and staff could have 30 minutes for themselves.
Of course, you all know me, I had to design some fun printables for the theme too! If you’d like to recreate this theme at your school, all of the designs are available in my Just Add Confetti Etsy shop. You can see them HERE. I hope you can use them to celebrate all the special teachers and staff in your life!
I hope you enjoyed our Tropical Hawaiian Beach Theme Teacher Appreciation Week and hope it inspired you to create your own!
