To kick off the first day of Spring, I can’t think of a better way to start a new season than with a fresh, new site design! I am so thrilled about the new look and feel of Just Add Confetti. Below are a few more details about the new site design.
The Theme
The old Just Add Confetti site used the Genesis Framework so I decided to stick with that but I am now using a new theme, Fun Theme from Pretty Darn Cute Design. I absolutely love this theme! It’s the perfect fit for my needs…equal parts blog and shop. I really love the blog side of my business, sharing my latest design endeavors, decor ideas, gift ideas, and free printables. But another big component of my business is my shop as well as the freelance graphic design work that I do. This theme really paired the two sides of Just Add Confetti together so nicely.
Also, Susan from Pretty Darn Cute Design was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was so patient with me…answering all of my (many!) questions. I can not recommend them enough!
The Branding
I think one of the hardest things to do as a graphic designer is to brand yourself/your own work. I wanted the new look of Just Add Confetti to be fresh, simple and clean with a touch of whimsy. It was also really important to me to make navigating around the site as easy as possible for a new visitor.
