“Being Friends with You is a Ball” Hedgehog Kids Valentine

Hi Friends! It’s Day 3 of “Just Add Confetti’s 10 Days of Kids Valentines!” Today, I’m sharing our Hedgehog Kids Valentine! My kids absolutely love the little hedgehogs from the movie Ferdinand. I mean, how can you not?!? They are so funny and sweet! This valentine is totally inspired by those little cuties. The step-by-step instructions are below. To make this Hedgehog Kids Valentine you will need the hedgehog free printable (located in the printable library) as well as any small toy ball you would like, scissors and an xacto knife. Mini Koosh balls and small bouncy balls work really well!

To assemble this Hedgehog Kids Valentine, follow these 4 steps:
Step 1: The printable is available for free in the printable library. *Note: The version of the design that is  located in the printable library is non-editable and would need to have a name handwritten on it to personalize. If you would like the editable PDF version of this design—with the ability to personalize the name(s)—it is available for purchase in my Etsy shop, HERE.
Step 2: Next, cut out the entire perimeter of the Hedgehog.
Step 3: Then, based on the size of the toy ball you will need to cut an opening in the center of the Hedgehog printable. For a smaller bouncy ball I found that the “starburst” cut worked well. You might also want to apply a piece of tape on the back to secure the ball more fully.
Step 4: For a mini koosh style ball I think using an xacto knife to carefully cut two holes in the center of the printable would work best. Then use a twist tie or piece of twine to hold the ball in place.
