Hi Friends! Today is an exciting day in our 12 Days of Holiday Gift Ideas series! I’m back with ideas 4, 5 and 6 in the series! I created this group of 3 gift ideas in partnership with Vanilla Gift Cards and I am so thrilled to share them with you today. Vanilla Gift Cards have so many adorable holiday designs this season that are available at Walmart. We all know that gift cards make awesome gifts and we LOVE receiving them. But sometimes it might feel slightly impersonal to gift them (even though we know they make a perfect holiday gift for everyone on our list). Well worry no more…I have three creative ways to give Vanilla Gift Cards this holiday season. I think these ideas are so fun and unique! So without further ado, let’s get started!
IDEA 1: Everyone Can Use a Little Extra Dough This Christmas
Baking is a huge part of the holiday season, and so is needing a little extra dough! For this DIY gift idea, I paired a Vanilla Gift Card with a holiday oven mitt and baking utensils. First, I designed this fun gingerbread man printable to attach to the holiday oven mitt. Then, I tied the Vanilla Gift Card to a spatula with a ribbon and stuck it inside the mitt. You can add any other baking items you would like in order to complete the look of this sweet and festive gift.
The gingerbread man printable tags are available for free in the printable library. *Note: The version of the design that is located in the printable library is non-editable and would need to have a name handwritten on it to personalize. If you would like the editable PDF version of this design—with the ability to personalize the name(s)—it is available for purchase in my Etsy shop, HERE.
IDEA 2: Sleigh Bells Ring, Ching Ching!
Gold sleigh bells are a true icon of Christmas and the holiday season. For this DIY gift idea, I paired gold bells, evergreen craft stems, and a Vanilla Gift Card that features the illustration of the wreath, together with a playful printable tag. I designed the tag to be fun and whimsical with the wording, “Sleigh Bells Ring, Ching Ching!”.
Assembling this gift is very simple.
Step 1: First, thread the gold bells through the evergreen craft stems. I used a total of 5 stems with 2 bells on each stem.
Step 2: Before threading the last bell on the 5th stem, slide the Vanilla Gift Card in place. Then add the last bell.
Step 3: Then, simply twist all of the evergreen craft stems and bells together until they form into a circular wreath. The Vanilla Gift Card will hang in the center.
Step 4: Lastly, add the printable tag! Done! What a fun gift?! The “Sleigh Bells Ring, Ching Ching!” printable tags are available for free in the printable library. *Note: The version of the design that is located in the printable library is non-editable and would need to have a name handwritten on it to personalize. If you would like the editable PDF version of this design—with the ability to personalize the name(s)—it is available for purchase in my Etsy shop, HERE.
Idea 3: Make a Gift Card Snow Globe and Enjoy the Magic of the Season
Snow globes are a symbol of the magic of the holidays. For this DIY gift idea, I created a homemade snow globe with a Vanilla Gift Card in the center. I loved the reindeer design on the gift card and it worked perfectly with the snowy environment. The snow globe itself is a long cylindrical jar that is wide enough to accommodate the size of the card and packaging. Below are the step-by-step instructions to create your own gift card snow globe.
For this DIY you will need the Vanilla Gift Card as well as a tall jar, craft snow, sisal trees, pom pom ribbon, hot glue and the printable tag.
Step 1: First, unscrew the lid of the tall jar and apply hot glue all over the inside bottom of the lid. Then place sisal trees in the glue, leaving the center open.
Step 2: Next, while the glue is still hot, sprinkle craft snow all over the inside of the lid. Allow glue to dry.
Step 3: Now, place the Vanilla Gift Card in between the sisal trees in the center of the lid.
Step 4: Then, place the tall jar over the top of the lid and screw in place. Next, apply a small amount of hot glue around the outside perimeter of the lid and attach the pom pom ribbon. Lastly, attach the “Enjoy the magic of the season” printable tag to the outside of the snow globe with tape or glue. Done! Such a fun and unique gift idea!
The printable tags are available for free in the printable library. *Note: The version of the design that is located in the printable library is non-editable and would need to have a name handwritten on it to personalize. If you would like the editable PDF version of this design—with the ability to personalize the name(s)—it is available for purchase in my Etsy shop, HERE.
