Welcome to Franks ‘n Steins…home of the Haunted Hot Dog and a Graveyard Root Beer Garden that’s to die for! I’m so excited to share my new Frankenstein Halloween party with you all today!
I think it goes without saying at this point, but I absolutely LOVE Halloween! I won’t let 2020 change that for me! Of course, as with pretty much everything this year, Halloween is sure to look and feel quite different from past festivities. But that doesn’t mean Halloween can’t still be super fun and memorable. This year, I’m planning smaller celebrations with my family and kids — like fun Halloween dinners, spooky treats, door-drop Halloween gifts for friends, “booing” our neighbors, etc. Yes, it will be different. But I’m bound and determined to make it fun for my kids!
If fun and spooky (& kid-friendly) Halloween dinners are on your list this season, I’ve got a great one for you. I’m forever trying to be a creative resource to help you celebrate with your families. This Frankenstein Halloween party is so easy to pull together. Sometimes simple is best. Hot dogs and root beer for the win! Root beer (not to mention root beer floats) are a big treat in our house, so my boys were so excited! Of course, you know me, I always have to create some designs for every theme. I love how printable graphics can quickly and easily jazz up any celebration. Just print and display! I designed a whole pack of Franks ‘n Steins: Hot Dogs and Root Beer printables. The set includes the backdrop, table decor signs, bottle labels, hot dog wraps, gravestones, etc. You can grab the complete set in my Etsy shop here.
Along with the root beer and traditional hot dogs, I also made these cute “mummy dogs”. Reminiscent of corn dogs on a stick, I made these haunted mummy hot dogs by wrapping each hot dog in strips of crescent roll dough. Then I baked them on a cookie sheet for about 12-14 minutes. Next, I put each mummy hot dog on a wooden skewer and added candy eyes. These were a huge hit in the 8-year-old and under crowd! A pretty tasty haunted hot dog!
Another highlight at Franks ‘n Steins is the graveyard root beer garden. You can’t have a graveyard without tombstones. I designed these funny tombstones and they got some great laughs. All 4 of the tombstones are also part of the printable pack.
Donuts for the road? Yes, please! A few years ago I made this monster truck valentine and I have no idea why it’s taken me this long to realize that a Frankenstein monster truck would be perfect for Halloween. Wouldn’t these make an adorable door-drop gift? The printable has an editable area for the name personalization. You can grab it here!
